On September 25, 2026, Neighbourhood Paper invited Shawn to speak about his campaign. Additionally, starting in April 2025, Shawn’s 17 Delegation addresses, at Town Council, have highlighted his concerns, recommendations, and his push for increased accountability and transparency with the implementation of best practices, public budget Q & A meetings and giving residents a seat on the Town’s Budget Committee. Instead of witnessing corrective action from Council and Staff, to rectify these concerns, the Town's overspending has grown worse which has reinforced Shawn’s resolve to give Aurora a genuine new choice for Mayoral leadership.
